UNICEF Tap Project: Don’t Use your Phone & Save Lives

You can help 768 MILLION people around the world who don’t have access to clean water. This year, you can help by taking a challenge to give up access to something far less vital than water: Your cell phone.

For every minute you don’t touch your phone, GIORGIO ARMANI will provide one day of clean water to a child in need.

The UNICEF Tap Project is a nationwide campaign that provides children from impoverished nations with access to safe, and clean water. The campaign culminates during World Water Week, March 20–26, 2011, celebrating the United Nations’ World Water Day, March 22.

Take the UNICEF Tap Project Challenge!

Your total time will help UNICEF provide clean water and sanitation to children in need around the world.

  • 1. Visit uniceftapproject.org on your phone.
  • 2. Begin the challenge right away to see how long you can go without your smartphone.
  • 3. Donate to provide even more clean water to kids. Just $1 can provide 40 days of clean water.

I just went 30 minutes without using my phone and I donated $10 to UNICEF.

This is a great cause! And a great way to provide millions of people around the world with CLEAN water!
